As an outdoor professional, I developed a great appreciation for the outdoors and the beauty of the Rockies. Working in the restaurants in Steamboat Springs allowed me to explore my creativity and refine my culinary craft. Feeling a longing for more, I decided to become a private chef at hunting lodges during elk season. Soon after, I set off on a journey as a yacht chef, traveling to Florida, The Bahamas, Virgin Islands, and Alaska. Each place provided new experiences and gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and skill set.
Through my travels to countries like Indonesia, Italy and parts of South America, I was able to gain an even greater appreciation for food and its rich cultural heritage. I learned new techniques and recipes in each of these countries and developed a deep understanding of the global food industry. Whether it be learning how to make a traditional Italian dish or discovering a new flavor in the markets of South America, my travels have been invaluable in expanding my culinary skills and knowledge.
Having traveled parts of the world, I now have a greater appreciation for the mountains that have always been home. With this newfound knowledge of global cuisine, I am eager to share these experiences with guests. By providing delicious meals, I hope to create an unforgettable holiday experience that portrays to guests and owners why the mountains I love are so special.
